HOUSE #1
This little project was a total redo. The house was in original 1950's condition when i started on it. It had two bedrooms upstairs, a bathroom with tub only, and a kitchen. The basement was undeveloped and there was no washer dryer hookups. The house was fully of junk and clutter at the start of the project. I have put all pictures up to show the dramatic transformation.
This is the house before the cleanup started. It was amazing to see a place in such a mess-it is a wonder how someone could live like this. It is one thing to watch tv and see cluttered houses, but this....WOW. What a job!

This was after the cleanup. Removing all the clutter and garbage made such a big difference. You could actually see the floor, walls, coutertops. Still with some original furniture, but with most of the clutter removed.
This was the starting of the basement. I jack hammered the floor out to install washing machine, bathroom, and sink hookups. Lucky there was a nice base of crushed rock under the cement, to help keep the mess down. Once the underground plumbing was added I filled everything in with new cement.
This is the finished Project. I was able to create two separate units- a basement suite and an upstairs suite. They both share the washer/dryer, but besides that are self contained. I used sprayfoam for all the basement walls...which is such a great way of insulating. I also used a vinyl planked flooring throughout the house. I ended up installing a shower in the upstairs bath, and new plumbing. I was able to save the original upstairs kitchen cabinets, but just added a double sink. Obviously everything in the basement is new- or at least new to the house. I was able to reuse an old set of cabinets for the kitchen area. I also wired the entire house with CAT5 and RG6 wiring.
